And in Sports...

Woooo hoooo!!

It's official. The Great Khali is the first Indian ever to win a major WWE title. And it's the most major WWE title!Edge is injured (translation:Lita hit him with a candle stand) and so,they had a 20 man battle royal to determine the new champ and our best man Khali came through!

Oh,this is such a great day for all Indian WWE fans. It's almost as if these 19 years I've been hooked onto WWE,is ..justified!

Damn! Patriotism hits you when you least expect it!

Go Khali!

Until next time.

Expecto Patronum.

So apparently JK broke down and started crying while completing Deathly Hallows.

"When I finished one chapter near the end I absolutely howled," Rowling said. "I was sobbing my heart out, I was in a hotel room on my own. I downed half a bottle of champagne from the mini bar in one and went home with mascara all over my face. That was really tough."

She says she's gonna kill off at least two of the "main" characters.I'm guessing Hagrid and Voldemort.I have no idea why.I just think she wouldn't kill off the kids.Hey,maybe she thinks Nearly Headless Nick is a main character too.No wait, that would'nt work.

Cheap Plug:The Deathly Hallows is the final book of the Harry Potter series. Almost 325 million copies of the first six books have been sold worldwide, making Rowling the first "billionaire" author.

She's made reading cool again.Cheers to that.

Until next time.

Hermione and the Enchanted Bottle of Corona.

See?It was just a matter of time!

Now all those old, creepy perverts cruising junior high schools with a glove and a box of candy can rejoice! Emma Watson is of legal drinking age.Or is she?Ah,what the hell! She seems to be having a great time.

All grown up now.I can almost see the US weekly photo features.

And oh,the new movie is pretty good.Second only to the adaptation of Prisoner of Azkaban.Loved the new darker tone and the climatic showdown between Dumby and Voldemort.Don't miss it.

Anger,pity and pain.

Three deaths in one week. One fake. The other two VERY real.

At least Vince scrapped his stinker of an angle.

It's no surprise that Benoit was one my favorite wrestlers.Right up there with Bret and Jericho. So the news hit me pretty hard. Not just the fact that he's dead, but the fact that he killed his wife and son first, and then took his own life.

I've always seen Benoit as calm, soft spoken and down to earth. He never got any bad press. And no one thought ill of him.He was one of those guys who was never involved in any controversy and had a clean image. And he was a kick ass wrestler. He put on 5 star matches on a regular basis and I admired him for that.

And now, when I picture him killing his seven year old son,I feel betrayed. He seems like a monster who took two innocent lives and then his ow.Whatever the motive,I don't see how that could possibly justify killing a seven year old child. It's just one of those things you don't see any sense in.It's so beyond me.And it's not right. Not in a million years. It doesn't matter how full of shit your life is,you just don't do that to another person.

And then there's the media.Blaming this on Steroid abuse. So,to add to this tragedy, they defame the wrestling business and Vince's credibility.Vince bashing is a right of every Internet mark, but I don't see how you could blame him for this, unless he was DIRECTLY involved in it.

I hate saying this, but right now,I feel Chris Benoit spat on the wrestling business, the wrestling fans and his own sense of right and wrong.I have nothing but disrespect for people who weasel out and think suicide is the solution. What he did to his family was wrong. And that takes away everything that he gave wrestling fans like me all these years.

I sincerely hope I'm proven wrong.I honestly do.

Until next time.

Excess Baggage.

I had a thing for Nicole Richie. She had it all.She had that Rachel Bilson quality, i'll buy you a tweety soft toy pretty. Then, she stopped eating. And this happened.

(Enlarge at your own risk)

I can't even take a potshot at this.Such a pretty face.What a waste!

Observe how unfamiliar she is with eating. She sticks her tongue out and literally shoves the food down her throat.I don't know about you,but from where I come, that's NOT how you eat.

I mean this in the most non-sexual way,but....she swallows.

But there is one thing she does right.I gather you ARE supposed to stick your tongue out first for this.

Some lean meal that. And now she's preggers. How that Madden lad did her,I'll never know. There are so many things that are wrong with this.
Firstly, anorexic people should not get pregnant. It's just something you should NOT do.It's a list ditch effort to gather some body fat.I'm not even going to start on ethics.Secondly, the baby kicking could cause some major scar tissue.Thirdly,I'm kind of jealous it was'nt me that knocked her up.No wait. That's 2004 Me talking.I'm all for Rachel Bilson now.

Good luck with Gollum.Poor little rich girl.

Until next time.

Meter Maid,40 years on.

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band – Bryan Adams
With A Little Help From My Friends – Razorlight
Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds - Athlete
Getting Better – Kaiser Chiefs
Fixing A Hole – The Fray
She’s Leaving Home – Magic Numbers
Being For The Benefit Of Mr Kite - Jamie Cullum
Within You Without You - Oasis
When I'm Sixty Four - Russell Brand
Lovely Rita – Travis
Good Morning Good Morning - The Zutons
Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (Reprise) –
Stereophonics

That's the final track listing for the Sgt Pepper 40th Aniiversary Tribute Recording.I have to say I'm quite impressed.I was expecting a major disaster when they announced the recording sessions. The thought of Beth Ditto singing Lovely Rita and the vomit inducing accompanying video is the stuff nightmares are made of.But, all's good here. It's a nice clean tribute to one of the Greatest Albums Of All Time.

However,I must give my two cents on who should have covered what. You saw that coming.

Oasis rocked Within you Without you, which is saying a lot for a Harrison penned song.Love Noel playing the Sitar.Such a mark out moment.Sigh!

Bryan Adams for the title track sounds terrible on paper, but give it a listen. It's pretty darn good.My Pick:The White Stripes.Think about it.Imagine Jack White singing "The act you've known for all these years".It just feels right.

Travis for Lovely Rita is spot on.It's perfection. It's the only track that sounds BETTER than the original. That's just me.Maybe it has something to do with me not getting "Battleships" out of my head.

I'm not a big fan of the Stereophonics or Jamie Cullum or the "THE" blokes who'll never make it.Still,it's not fair to say they did a bad job.The Monkeys would have been perfect for "Being for the benefit of Mr Kite" or maybe The Shore or Dirty Pretty Things.

Too bad they didn't get Chris Martin to do "Lucy in the sky".Falsetto.Period.

Ah well,at least they didn't botch it up.Definitely worth a listen.Hope they release promo videos in Sgt. Pepper gear. That'll be mega!

Until next time.

PS:Pete Doherty and Carl Barat covered "Day In The Life".Shockingly subtle.

The West Coast Delay.

Another show bites the dust."Friends" curse much? Ok,so Joey and The Comeback sucked. As does Dirt (If a Courtney/Jen kiss doesn't get in ratings, something's not right). But,I was really into this one.

Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip aired its last episode today, thanks to NBC execs deciding to axe the show.Financially,I don't see how this is a good move.Ok,so it was'nt getting in the ratings, but don't emmy noms count for anything these days?Plus the acting and writing were tops.

This series deserved 3 seasons at least! It could have been the Arrested Development of Dramedies.Well,at least NBC had the decency to let them air a full season.I'm all for closure.

Here's to a DVD release. With lots and lots of extras!

Until Next Time
